Tears of Joy
for all the goodies and the yummies.
I still cant seem to name them…
As much as I love the bumble bee busyness of hyper productivity, there are days…and many days when every project poses problems and I get a million phone calls interrupting my day job with issues to be resolved… This for me has been happening everyday for the last weeks…. For the slump crappy days/week of hyper productivity, its always good to return home to a surprise awaiting on my table.
Thank you Miss Sando! Cant wait for your gift wrapping zine!
A little peek at 2 of the many many things I am working on. I have been simultaneously working on 5 differnt projects on top of a 10-7 job…
I could look at this chart all day!
These are for Christmas and many more for 2011 coming up.
Paris
Lunch in Paris is a brisk walk into a boulagerie and picking up a savoury and a sweet. Most days, lunch is a walking affair. A moving visual and gastronomical treat.
One day, it was a sit down lunch at the balcony.

Here, the second apartment we rented near Charonne, a rare and beautiful Paris via a balcony.

Marimekko Spring Summer 2011.
What a lovely show concept! I could never have dreamt of this… Watch the video here.
Kamome Shokudo/Seagull Dinner/Ruokala Lokki is a quiet and intimate film on life’s pleasures, triumphs and tribulations. Set in Finland, Helsinki; it revolves around Sachi, who has set up a Japanese diner and is soon joined by Midori and Masako whom each took a brave leap to be in Finland.
The synopsis had me predicting a film set to bore but this is a rare success of its genre for me. I was captivated by the characters as much as I was drawn to the beautiful sets and Sachie’s nimble fingers working on a cinnamon roll, grilling salmon, rolling up an onigiri and chopping up a Tonkatsu.
London
In the Natural History Museum, we looked at taxidermy or the likes of it. I cant stop being fascinated by their morbid cuteness.
And we stared at rocks.
When properly displayed and surrounded by simple beautiful typography is quite a treat to browse.

Paris
We took an apartment in Île Saint-Louis for Paris. St Louis is an island located in the heart of Paris. A little oasis of quaint, quiet streets surround by the beautiful Seine. Walking around aimlessly while waiting for the apartment to get cleaned… it rained.
but would rather snuggle with the cold and lonely bicycle.

I found this set of images in my hard disk while sorting out my portfolio. The ones I have picked out documented me seemingly having a good time at a photoshoot.
Looking at them reminds me how much I had loved this part of advertising, besides being indicative that a project has garnered most approvals and near its end, there is much to be enjoyed in the process.
