is Mimipong’s first fully sponsored showcase and is organised by the fine folks of Little Thing magazine. Being flown down to a foreign city, put up in a hotel to attend a show that started out as (and still is) a hobby is a nice feeling… and a big pat on the back
. It makes all the sleepless nights, mad rush and moments of sheer panic a tad more worthwhile.
Nederburg Sauvignon Blanc: kindly sponsored by Hiro. Wine goblet: kindly provided by Starbucks. Some great wine to start things off and calm the nerves… I had to read out a speech, yeah I read speeches not deliver them…. :X

Give aways at the welcome booth.

This is Benben, a folk singer from Taiwan invited down to open the show. I have to confess that I am pretty much clueless when it comes to the mandarin music scene so its my first time hearing of her and watching her perform but I was instantly drawn to her music. I really love her voice and outfit
… Also found this charming 4 parts interview she gave in English with her parents that gave me a few chuckles.

There was an auctioning of the dolls, proceeds goes out to the drought victim in South West China.
Shenzhen is my first foray into China and as with every trip, it is the people that makes the experience… I had a really decent time all thanks to the Little Thing crew who is a great bunch of passionate and fun people to work, party, chat and drink with .
More images here, I did not manage to take any analog pictures of my own and had to scamper for image from different sources which explains the delay of this post.
Thank you to Shenzhen Developement Bank, Starbucks Coffee and especially Timmy, Jason and Iggy of Little Thing magazine.
